About Livingston County Criminal History

Livingston County criminal records are split among the sheriff, the Circuit Court Clerk, the Kentucky State Police criminal-history repository, the Department of Corrections, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. This privately run site organizes those official routes so a reader can identify the right Smithland office, state portal, mailing address, or telephone number without treating unlike records as one database.

Why We Built This Site

Kentucky records are organized by the office that creates or maintains them. The Livingston County Sheriff's Department holds its incident and arrest material. The Livingston Circuit Court Clerk keeps Circuit and District case files, including charges and dispositions. Kentucky State Police maintains identity-based criminal history and the public sex offender registry, while the Kentucky Department of Corrections operates KOOL for state custody and supervision information. Livingston has no active county jail, so booking and custody questions may also lead to the county jailer and McCracken County Jail. This site brings those distinct routes together without suggesting they contain the same facts.

  • Record guides: how criminal court case files, arrest material, and registry entries differ
  • Official checks: the separate AOC name-based court report and KSP fingerprint-based channels

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Kentucky court, law-enforcement office, or state agency. Its role has clear limits:

  • We cannot issue a certified court copy, repository record, or official background check
  • We cannot submit an open-records request or expungement filing for a visitor
  • We cannot correct an agency record or change a registry, custody, or warrant status
  • We cannot give legal advice about a charge, conviction, petition, or pending case
  • We cannot promise that an agency's hours, fees, or procedures have not changed

An official record must come from its custodian, such as the Livingston sheriff, Circuit Court Clerk, AOC, or Kentucky State Police.

Search Partners

Outside providers power some search boxes. They control their services, results, prices, and terms. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that helps support this site. We do not set the provider's charges or decide which records it returns, and partner results are not official Livingston County or Kentucky records.
